Scientific Interests

Main Interests:

Palaeontology. Palaeozoology. Neogene (Miocene and Pliocene) marine Gastropoda from eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean region, with a special interest in their palaeoecology and palaeobiogeography.

Strong interests also in science popularization of palaeontological and geodiversity themes for the general public. Lately, also, with a growing interest in all aspects having to do with the relationships and mutual influence between naturals sciences and social sciences, especially those related to geodiversity and geological heritage and their influence in local culture and urban settings (urban geodiversity).
