IDL at the I Paleo Fall Meeting

The first edition of the Paleo Fall Meeting took place on September 26 to 28, 2019 in the Universidade de Évora (Évora, Portugal). The Instituto Dom Luiz (IDL) participated in this meeting with the researcher Pedro Mocho who presented a communication on “Diversity and stratigraphic distribution of Diplodocines from the Upper Jurassic of the Lusitanian Basin (Portugal) and the importance of Lourinhã, Peniche and Torres Vedras fossil record”. This work is part of a research project that has been carried out by members of the IDL in collaboration with researchers of the Sociedade de História Natural (Torres Vedras, Portugal), Grupo de Biología Evolutiva – Universidade Nacional de Educación a Distancia (Madrid, Spain), and Fundación Conjunto Paleontológico de Teruel-Dinópolis (Teruel, Spain).

Also, the collaborator of the IDL Sofia Pereira was one of the invited speakers of this meeting. Sofia gave a talk about the history of 170 years of research on trilobites in Portugal.
